The USS New Jersey was the 2nd ship of the Iowa type of battleships built for the united states Navy. The Iowas were the strongest battleships ever built through the Navy. Of the six that were planned, four were built and served at the end of World War Two. All of these survived the war and are museum ships round the country today.

The History of The USS New Jersey
The USS New Jersey managed to earn more battle stars on her combat actions than the other ships from the Iowa class battleships. She also went on to become the only real American battleship that provided gunfire support within the Vietnam War.
